TESA calls itself the world's largest supplier of electronic locking systems. Philips CSI is one of the world's largest suppliers of closed-circuit television products and systems. Their newest offering is expected to reach hotel properties by the fourth quarter.

"Demand in the marketplace is increasing for integrated security solutions provided by a single supplier," Pascal Metivier, vice president/global sales and marketing, TESA, says in the statement.

Robert Smulders, vice president, sales/marketing, Philips CSI, says in a statement that the new products are being custom-tailered "from a hotel management perspective, utilizing the research and development resources of both companies to devleop ideal configurations to accommodate the unique needs of hotels worldwide."

Among the products the Tesa-Philips team will produce are new-age electronic safes, access controls, energy management devices, closed-circuit TV and other electronic locking products. Philips has a regional office in Atlanta.
