Western Athletic Clubs Inc. is building the 87,000-sf Pacific Athletic Club. and has hired DPR Construction Inc. to provide preconstruction and general contracting services.
The club is expected to open next spring and will feature sports and fitness facilities, including pools, tennis courts, exercise studios, squash courts, a basketball court and an 11,000-sf fitness center.
The developer is deeding to the city more than two acres, which it will improve with landscaping, benches and walkways. The parcel will be an extension of the pedestrian access from the park located on the northside of Carmel Country Road.
