The facility is located within a 600,000-sf, five-building industrial park previously utilized by Marschall Warehouse for its food distribution business. Marschall, which has been around for more than a century, no longer operates out of the park, but continues to own it and lease it out to multiple tenants. FedEx is expected to substantially renovate its new facility, to include extensive automated distribution systems. FedEx's Northeast cargo hub operates at Newark International Airport, about 15 miles south of here.

Alexander Summer, LLC represented Marschall as exclusive agent for all of Marschall's industrial campus. "Location and transportation considerations were paramount for FedEx, given the fact that their core business is package distribution," according to Alexander Summer president Douglas Haynes.
