The new signing is for the remainder of the term for Computer Associates International Inc., Carl Ewert, executive vice president of the Dallas-based Staubach Co.'s Southwest corporate services office, tells GlobeSt.com. The Dallas law firm will move into the sublease space in August.

Ewert has represented McKool Smith in the negotiations for the extra space. Kelly Kackley and Alysia Ragusa Holt, both Staubach executives, have acted on behalf of Computer Associates, headquartered in Islandia, NY.

Computer Associates has vacated the premier space as a result of its takeover of Sterling Software Inc. in early 2000. The added office space is on contiguous floors to Dallas-based McKool Smith's other Crescent space. The firm, which also has an Austin office, specializes in commercial, civil and appellate litigation.
