Southland Units Fetch $6.8 Million

LOS ANGELES-A private investment group acquires 200-unit apartment complex in Desert Hot Springs. The deal is latest evidence that the Inland Empire market is heating up even though the regional economy is cooling.

The complex, called Country Hills Apartments, stands at 66900 Ironwood. The buyer is privately held Spartan Equity.

The 200 units are spread across 25 buildings. The seller is a New York-based private partnership, My Montecito III Inc.

Marty Combs of the Ontario office of Grubb & Ellis represented both parties in the sale.
