Jerald King with Insignia/ESG represented the building owner, Australia-based Lend Lease. King tells GlobeSt.com that the lease was for more than five years. He says Newfield was a startup oil and gas exploration company 10 years ago when it first leased space in the class A building and it's been expanding ever since. George Carpenter of Carpenter Realty Corp. represented Newfield in the negotiations.
The 386,277-sf, 20-story office building was constructed in the late seventies, says King, and is 96% occupied. Lend Lease has put more than $1.5 million into renovations for the premier building, located at 363 North Belt near the junction of Beltway 8 and Interstate 45.
