And, says Kim Butler, Transwestern's Dallas executive vice president, more assignments are sure to come. "It's been a near record year for Transwestern in terms of new business," she tells GlobeSt.com.

The latest coup is the 155,000-sf Search Plaza, a class A office building at 10670 N. Central Expressway. L&B Realty Advisors Inc. of Dallas is the owner.

Butler says there are three deals in the pipeline for 15,000 sf to 20,000 sf each as well as some for tenants with smaller office needs. She says to watch for a leasing signing in 30 days. The seven-story building, which has 100,000 sf open, is situated south of the construction of area for the High Five in Five highway project. The large block opened up with lead tenant, Basic Capital's relocation late last year. Butler and Blair Oden, Transwestern's senior vice president in Dallas, are handling the asset.

Since the year's start, Transwestern has secured the assignments of the Lakepoint at Las Colinas and the 1.1 million-sf Dallas portfolio of Koll Bren Schreiber. Butler says the perceived quiet year is proving active for several property managers in the Dallas-Ft. Worth region.
