Realty has sold 47 units totaling $10.34 million or an average $220,000 per unit. Realty president Marc Pollack expects to sell out the product in 30 days.
Closings are scheduled for September on the 800-sf to 1,700-sf units. The price range is $180,000 to $350,000. "The interiors, the decks, the views and the location are all strong selling points," Pollack says in a prepared statement.
The location especially is selling the product quickly. Freedom Lofts is at 400 Village Parkway in the former National Linen Service Warehouse across from Carter Center in the Poncey-Highlands neighborhood. Freedom Park, considered one of the country's premiere intown greenspaces, is across the street from Freedom Lofts.
Realty Construction Corp. of Atlanta is the general contractor. Smith, Dalia Architects designed the project. The lofts, along with the neighboring 185-unit Freedom Apartments, will make up The Village at Freedom Parkway.
Realty Development Corp. has developed 12,000 multifamily projects aggregately valued at $1 billion over the past 20 years. Realty is part of the Lane Cos. family in Atlanta. Multi-Housing News, a trade publication, named Realty Development Multi-Family Development Firm of the Year for 2000.
