The Palm Beach Gardens-based provider of correctional andrelated institutional services met a quarterly earnings forecast of25 cents a share as tracked by Thompson/First Call.

"Contract terms for (the NC) facility provide for 95% paymentfrom the facility activation date, effective March 7, 2001," GeorgeC. Zoley, Wackenhut vice chairman and chief executive officer, saysin a prepared statement.

The company reported a net gain of $5.3 million, or 25 cents ashare, on revenue $141.7 million for the 13 weeks ended July 1,compared with a net gain of $4.8 million, or 23 cents per share, onrevenue of $133.9 million for the same period in 2000.
