The first 130,000-sf medical-office building will open in thespring of 2003. The hospital will open in the summer of 2003.

The 362,000-acute-care facility initially will have 106 beds butthehospital can be expanded to 335 beds. The hospital will sportsuch amenities as fireplaces, a healing garden, helipad, and anoutdoor dining patio. Almost 99% of the rooms will be private.

The Nashville-based architectural firm of Gresham Smith andPartners is designing the hospital, which is being constructed on43 acres west of Interstate 25 and south of Lincoln Avenue in LoneTree. The hospital is a key part of the 3,500-acre, mixed-use,master-planned community.
