Coalton is a joint venture with Alliance Commercial Partners LLC and MidCities Enterprises LLC.
Lakeshore is the second-largest athletic club in the Chicago area. It has been in the business since the early 1970s. Walter and Jordon Kaiser, who have opened clubs throughout the US and an upscale spa in Costa Mesa, Calif, own it.
''We are excited to be in the Denver area, particularly in the growth corridor between Boulder and Denver,'' says Bob Johnson, president of Lakeshore.
Construction will begin this fall and it should open in late 2002.
The Summit Technology Park is part of Coalton Acres' 155-acre mixed-use project. It ultimately will have more than 800,000-sf of class-A office space, three or more hotels with a total of 550 rooms, specialty retail shops, housing and restaurants.
