The architectural firm is Portland, OR-based Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Partnership. It will take 20,000 sf for a seven-year term at Arco Plaza, the twin-towered black office complex on Flower Street.
Zimmer Gunsul previously housed its LA office in 15,000 sf at the 333 S. Grand building in Wells Fargo Center. The firm has designed several Southland landmarks, including Downtown's CaliforniaScience Center and the Ronald Reagan Federal Building and US Courthouse in Santa Ana.
The architecture firm's new space will be on the 37th floor of the 52-story North Tower of Arco Plaza. A Cushman & Wakefield team of Reid Tussing and Jason Warner represented the landlord in thetransaction. The tenant was represented by Cushman & Wakefield's Clayton Hovivian and Carl Muhlstein.
Zimmer Gunsul is the second large architectural firm to sign a major lease at Arco Plaza in recent weeks. Last month, GlobeSt.com reported that engineering and architectural giant Daniel Mann Johnson & Mendenhall signed a 15-year pact valued at more than $45 million for about 110,000 sf at the complex and will relocate to Downtown from its Westside home this fall.
