The park will comprise 715,000 sf of warehouse, air cargo and freight-forwarding space and 190,000 sf of office. The spec-built park is expected to be completed in 2006.
Green officials could not be reached at GlobeSt.com's publication deadline to learn the estimated cost of the project. But area construction industry estimators tell GlobeSt.com the venture will probably be built at $70 per sf or a total build-out cost of about $63 million.
The site is a mile from Hartsfield International Airport and will be competing with nearby product from several developers including Atlanta-based Seefried Properties, area brokers tell GlobeSt.com.
Green has comparable airport-adjacent properties in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, TX and Seattle. The family-owned and operated company moved its headquarters staff in 1998 to Texas from Great Neck, NY where the firm had been an industry fixture since its founding in 1941.
