Rascals International Inc. plans to bring the concept to other national full-service hotels, such as Holiday Inns, Hiltons, Sheratons and Radisson properties. "We believe that we can open 12 hotel co-venture units by year end and accelerate the opening of new units as our development, training and start-up teams expand," says Ed Rodriquez, Rascals chairman and CEO. "The leveraging of existing banquet facilities with our intense direct sales, marketing and promotional expertise is an excellent marginal income opportunity requiring little or no additional investment in the property."

The Crowne Plaza Hotel is one of two major convention hotels in downtown Phoenix. The city of Phoenix is midst of a obtaining millions from the state to help refurbish and expand the Phoenix Civic Plaza, downtown's convention center.
