Lindbergh Field engineers won for rehabilitating the airport'sonly runway while keeping the airport open. Parsons Aviation wasthe project manager and the project construction manager;Kimley-Horn & Associates was the construction manager and theLaw Crandall engineering firm handled materials testing.

The Camino Ruiz Bridge, the main thoroughfare for a planned5,000-acre development, spans a wildlife corridor and "serves as acritical infrastructure component" of the project, according to thesociety. T.Y. Lin International-McDaniel was the bridgeengineer/design consultant, while Black Mountain Ranch/TaylorWoodrow Homesare the developers, with Rick Engineering Co. servingas the civil engineer and design consultant.

More than 10 other projects won awards or honorablementions.
