More than 50 residents have complained the proposed 24-hour health club is too large and would increase traffic on both streets, as well as cause drainage problems. They add the property had been zoned residential when they bought into the neighboring subdivision, and would prefer an office building, perhaps a doctor's office.
Although Next Realty plans to go back to the plan commission, trustees indicated they were not satisfied with the concept presented to them before summarily denying the application.
