Construction gets under way in mid-September. Tharaldson Development Co. is the developer on the project. Tharaldson is a North Dakota-based developer of new hotel properties. The Residence Inn marks Tharaldson's fourth hotel in The Woodlands, which include another Residence Inn, Country Inn and Suites and The Courtyard. The company was named to the Forbes' 400 in 1997 and 1998. Company owner Gary Tharaldson currently owns and operates 339 hotels in 29 states.
Greg Jordan, director of retail sales and leasing represented the Woodlands Operating Co. LP, in the land sale. Tharaldson Development Co. represented Residence Inn.
