In addition to day-to-day management of the business affairs of the company, Whitney's responsibilities as CEO will include spearheading and monitoring the financial, marketing and business developments for AKA.
Projects under construction by AKA include the AM General HUMMER H2 Assembly Plant in Mishawaka, IN; the recently completed Riverfront Promenade and Plaza that stretches 3,500 feet along the Detroit River; and the 104-bed, 472,000-sf Aurora Medical Center/BayCare Health Center, a hospital and medical office building located in Green Bay, WI to be completed in the fall.
The firm recently announced formation of a new subsidiary company, Kahn Manufacturing Solutions, Inc., located at AKA's architectural offices in Detroit. The new company specializes in manufacturing and industrial engineering, providing services that pertain to equipment, tooling, process, product, parts and people.
The KMS team will be comprised of manufacturing engineers, equipment design engineers, process engineers, industrial engineers, and logistic engineers.
