Cadillac Fairview Puts Fulton Mall on Block

ATLANTA-The 20-year-old, 770-sf retail property was remodeled in 1999 for $10 million but J.C. Penney and Macy's are no longer tenants. The asking price wasn't disclosed.

The 770,000-sf mall, which was remodeled in1999 for a total of $10 million, lacks two of fourdepartment store anchors.

Both J.C. Penney and Macy'sclosed there--Penney's last year and Macy's in 1998.After stores in the Penney's wing shut down, that wingwas closed off permanently. Rich's and Sears continuedto anchor the mall.

The mall, built 21 years ago, is facingstiff competition from newer centers in neighboringDouglas County and a planned mall in Newnan, thoughdeveloper CBL & Associates Properties, which ownsArbor Place in Douglas County, has not yet begunconstruction in Newnan, GA.
