The city will evaluate the RFPs in two phases.
First, it will evaluate initial proposals and how they meet the objectives outlined by the city. Objectives include creating a high-quality mountain resort experience including first-class skiing, snowboarding, hiking and mountain biking; developing economics for a total year-round resort; and leaving the city with an economically viable asset when Winter Park reverts back to the city. In late September, the city will narrow the list to a group that will be asked to submit a final proposal.
The finalists will have about a month to prepare and submit a final proposal.
