In Irving, plans are under way for a high finish-out for AvailMedical Products Inc., headquartered in Ft. Worth. The medical firmis taking 10,076 sf of office-warehouse space at the five-buildingFreeport Tech Center. Tom Smolik of TIG Real Estate Services inDallas tells GlobeSt.com that $190,000 is being spent to upgradethe second-generation space, vacated in March by Toshiba.

Smolik and TIG's John Lancaster represented the building owner,Petroleum Inc. of Wichita, KS in the seven-year lease. Glenn Watsonof NAI Stoneleigh acted on the tenant's behalf.

Avail will retain its Ft. Worth location and also has an officein Michigan as well as six manufacturing sites nationwide. It plansto move into the Irving location in mid-October. The tenantfinish-out, which begins next week, calls for an elaboratere-design that includes glass walls for a retrofitting into anoffice-showroom for Avail's high-profile clients.
