The Nicholas Grimshaw-designed building will be 516 ft high,making it slightly lower than the NatWest Tower and the new SwissRe building, but its floorplates are much larger - averaging 32,000sf each - giving a total net lettable floor area of 1.1 million sf.There will also be 19,000 sq ft of new retail space and a 17,000 sqft roof top restaurant.

Minerva Chief Executive Andrew Rosenfeld said: 'This will be aworld class building in a world class location. The building hasbeen designed by one of Britain's leading architects and isprecisely what the City needs in order to attract majorinternational occupiers.'

Rosenfield said the site is fully vacant so development couldbegin immediately upon receipt of planning consent.
