Morgensen expects to hear in the coming days what his company's role will be, if any, in repairing the damage.
"Maybe they'll have us swing over and repair all of the damage," says Morgensen, who notes Hensel Phelps already had starting renoving the entrance to the Pentagon.
"Or maybe they'll just cancel the whole thing," he says. "I think we're going to have to wait a few days for things to settle down."
He adds that while the contract is for $680 million, Congress must approve the expenditures each year. So far, Congress has approved $140 million of the work, he says.
