Several highrises and most government buildings were closed yesterday morning as a precaution against additional attacks. The airport was shut too, as were all commercial air facilities across the nation.
Disneyland, Knott's Berry Park and most other tourist attractions also were closed. Disney officials worried that their high-profile park might make it a prime target for terrorists, who seemed intent on hitting only high-profile targets.
All government agencies and courthouses will resume operations, and all schools and universities will be open.
