DPT has outgrown its 51,500-sf facility at 9210 Cameron Rd. in Austin's northeast submarket. The company has 190 employees and expects to have as many as 460 in four years.
The Round Rock City Council is to vote on an incentive program that would provide DPT with $600 for training for each job it creates when the number of employees surpasses 200. "An employee-based incentives package makes good sense for DPT because we spend a lot of money on training and are confident of continued growth over the next five years," Dave Wares, president of DPT Inc., says. However, if the city council doesn't OK the incentives, DPT might seek other sites for its expansion.
The new facility gives DPT 25,000 sf of office, training and engineering space; 20,000 sf of shipping, receiving and warehouse space; and 60,000 sf of production space. It also has 500 parking spaces.
