The company, Golden Star LLC, has paid $2 million for the vacantplot. The parcel, which is located close to 2370 Crenshaw Blvd., isthe proposed site of Torrance Star Plaza, a planned 20,000-sfshopping complex.

The complex will feature a Mediterranean design and will include12 retail stores, ranging in size from 1,200 sf to 10,000 sf,according to a company spokesperson. Located in close proximity toCrenshaw Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard, the center will have aparking ratio of 5 to 1000.

Sheri Messerlian and Eric Herold of NAI Capital Commercialrepresented both Golden Star LLC and the seller, Jim Yates and MaryPetros, in the transaction.
