City Councilor James Kelly was involved in lobbying against Greyhound, according to his spokesperson, Paul Walkowski. The councilor spoke at the meeting of the board of appeals and opposed their request for another delay in the appeal.

Greyhound parks and services its buses at its depot here at 571 East First St.. But local residents have opposed the company using the depot because of noise and traffic congestion and the toxic emissions from the buses. Greyhound did not return calls by presstime but a company spokesperson is quoted as saying that the ruling will greatly limit the company's capacity in that facility.
