Energy Star ratings were accorded to the 10-story, 144,163-SF Kearns Building in Salt Lake City; 26-story, 252,000-SF Bank of America Center in Austin; and 16-story, 486,501-SF Pacific Gas & Electric and 48-story, 1.2 million-sf 101 California, both in San Francisco.

Houston office towers with the Energy Star designation are One Shell Plaza, Greenspoint Plaza, Williams Tower and Phoenix Tower. The EPA Energy Star label was initiated in 1998 to primarily encourage the reduction of greenhouse emissions and other secondary environmental achievements.
