The House of Sportsman corporation has paid $11.5 million forthe property. Located at 2700 N. Main St., the 12-story building isadjacent to the Main Place Mall.

The seller, Asset Management Consultants Inc., acquired theproperty in 1999. It then invested approximately $600,000 inimprovements to the building. "In order to upgrade and modernizethis highly visible property, we renovated and upgraded theexterior, as well as the entire lobby," says Russ Hardt, AssetManagement's director of acquisitions.

Asset Management specializes in pooling investor, broker andcapital resources to acquire income-producing real estate andnon-performing notes in the $2 million - $20 million range. Thefull-service real estate company is based in Mission Hills.
