Fort Lauderdale-based Stiles Development Co. is expanding itsexisting tenant improvement management service to provide tenantrepresentatives, tenants and property owners with an array ofbuildout services.

"Tenant representatives are looking for this set of skills inorder to offer full service to their clients," Denny O'Shea, StilesDevelopment president, tells GlobeSt.com. "We are seeing moreshadow space coming on to the sublet market that will requiretenant improvement management services."

Out of an inventory of about 23.9 million sf, for instance,Cushman & Wakefield researchers estimate the direct officevacancy rate in Broward County increased to about 13% as of thesecond quarter ended June 30, up from 11.1% for the same period in2000.
