Rutledge also had worked as director of leasing for Insignia/ESG in Dallas and regional vice president of marketing for MEPC American Properties. In his capacity with Atlanta-based Cousins Properties, Rutledge will assist in marketing and leasing the firm's 5.3 million-sf portfolio of class A properties in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex. His focus, says the company, is the 1.3 million-sf 1700 Pacific in Dallas' CBD.

"Eric's history of marketing and leasing high-profile properties and building relationships with blue-chip tenants fit perfectly with the company's portfolio and way of doing business," Mark Dickenson, Cousins' senior vice president of leasing, says in a prepared statement.

In the DFW region, Cousins leasing and management pacts include Millennium Center, Spectrum Center, Beal Bank Center, 6565 MacArthur at Sierra and the Points at Waterview. Cousins, as the region well knows, is the development manager for the planning, managing and marketing of the 12,000-acre, upscale Las Colinas, long a favorite landing spot for the corporate world and high-end retailers.
