Also this year, Abbott Laboratories leased 116,000 sf in the nearby North Shore suburb of Lake Forest.
Seattle-based Washington Mutual will move 500 employees into its new space next month. In addition, the lender leased another 33,109 sf at 560 Bunker Ct., also in Continental Executive Parke for 100 employees who needed space immediately.
NAI Hiffman executive vice president Michael J. Flynn, SIOR, CCIM, and senior associate James Adler represented Portland, OR-based owner Pacific Realty Associates, L.P., whose 1996 acquisition of Continental Executive Parke marked its debut into the Chicago market. CB Richard Ellis senior vice presidents Robert Reaumond and Hank Cox represented Washington Mutual.
Flynn and Adler also represented PacTrust, which has a 12-million-sf portfolio nationwide, in the lease of 75,444 sf at 300 N. Milwaukee Ave. to Northbrook, IL-based Allstate Insurance Co., which took the entire three-story speculative building.
