EDEN PRAIRIE, MN-The $368-million deal would give the consumer electronics retailer 89 stores in Canada. The offer to buy Canadian consumer electronics retailer Future Shops Ltd. is now good until Oct. 31.
The bid was scheduled to expire this month, and will now be extended to Oct. 31. Future Shop is Canada's largest consumer electronics chain with 89 stores.
Best Buy plans to convert the stores to the Best Buy name, and plans to build an additional 30 stores in Canada.
