Villareal, named to the board by Gov. Rick Perry, joins TommyWhaley and Hector Delgado as other Perry appointments to thenine-member board. The board oversees the actions of Texas EconomicDevelopment, the state agency that's to foster business expansionin Texas and to market Texas businesses outside the state. JeffMosely, the agency's executive director, is in charge of itsoperations.

Villareal is CEO and president of Precision Task Group, a dataprocessing consulting company with offices in Houston and Dallas.He's also chairman of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce anda board member of the Greater Houston Partnership. He was appointedto the board of regents of the Texas State University System whenGeorge W. Bush was governor.
