The housing authority still needs to purchase the land from the American Legion, which has put a $1.75 million price tag on it. The complex, if built, will include a mix of low-income and market-rate units.
Planned ground-floor tenants are the Vancouver Farmers Market and a day care operation. The architect is Portland-based Zimmer Gunsul Frasca. Construction timelines and development costs were not immediately available.
Nearby Prestige Development plans to break ground next spring on a 52-unit middle-income property at Seventh Avenue and Broadway. The housing authority is a partner in this project as well. The project is valued at $6 million.
