Despite Slump, Buca Still Holds Lofty Goal

MINNEAPOLIS-The company now has 68 restaurants in 21 states and DC area. Long-term, it hopes to have 450 Buca di Beppo restaurants domestically despite third-quarter earnings that came in about half expectations.

The company says it expects to report third-quarter earnings of $0.09 per share before special one-time, non-cash charges, a reduction from the previous estimate of $0.17 per share. Buca operates 68 restaurants in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia.
