In joining Dallas-based Weitzman, Karp makes the switch from residential to commercial real estate. He was a Newmark Homes superintendent responsible for management of subdivision development. He'll specialize in project leasing and tenant representation in the Austin area for Weitzman. The firm's Austin office, which includes Cencor Realty, handles a leasing and management portfolio of about 1.2 million sf of retail and office space in the Austin area.
Berman, who's been in industrial real estate for more than 28 years, joins Yancey-Hausman from Henry S. Miller Commercial Inc. in Dallas. At Henry S. Miller Commercial, Berman was a senior vice president in the industrial division. His experience ranges from site searches to handling the development process including legal, contractor, and governmental negotiations. Yancey-Hausman has offices in Houston and Austin.
