Dallas-based Precept Builders is handling the general contracting work that will take 10 months to complete for Accenture's six floors and facilitate a consolidation of office space around the Dallas-Ft. metroplex, David W. Karcher, Precept president, tells GlobeSt.com. Accenture employs about 2,000 in the region.
San Francisco-based IDEO designed the office build-out, using popular hoteling and teaming concepts for the leading provider of management and technology consulting. Carson Design Associates of Austin will oversee construction of the top-to-bottom makeover. The design, says Karcher, is mortared in flexibility, with writable walls and furnishings all movable. "Nothing is permanent," explains Shellye Odekirk, Precept's project manager.
Precept's Phil Metcalf, vice president of interiors, says crew sizes will range from 10 to 40. The second construction phase begins in January. TIAA Realty Inc. owns the prominent Williams Square, which is managed by Atlanta-based Cousins Properties' Irving office.
