Avalon at Flanders Hill will consist of 280, one, two and three bedroom units in 13-garden-style buildings. Construction, which began in August, is expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2003, with initial occupancy expected in the third quarter of 2002. Completion of Avalon New Canaan is expected during the fourth quarter of 2002, with initial occupancy projected to occur in the third quarter of 2002. Construction began on that venture in September. Avalon at Flanders Hill and Avalon New Canaan monthly average stabilized rents per home are expected to be approximately $1,770 and $2,840, respectively, company officials say.

Avalon at Flanders Hill is located approximately 29 miles west of downtown Boston and four miles east of downtown Westborough. The community is adjacent to the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) and is near the intersection of several major regional highways including the I-495/I-90 and I-495/State Route 9 junctions.

Apartment home features at both communities will include fully applianced kitchens, private patios or balconies, walk-in closets and full-size washers and dryers. Avalon also offers a host of optional features to tenants. Avalon at Flanders Hill residents will be able to take advantage of an indoor half-court basketball court and resident lounge.
