Commission to Consider Sale of Rivergate Land to Multnomah County

PORTLAND, OR-Approval is being sought to amend the sale agreement for 18 acres to the county to build a new jail facility.

This sale is one of three separate deals currently under consideration in the Rivergate district. The other two deals concern a subsidiary of General Electric, which is eyeing 9.25 acres, and 15.59 acres for residential and office projects to be built by Riverscape LLC.

Other items on the Commission's agenda include the approval to lease 11 acres in the Rivergate Industrial Yard, updates on the Port's business plan and portwide security and approval of a contract to demolish the old Concourse C and terminal expansion at Portland International Airport.
