The new Target is located near the venerable Deptford Mall, a super-regional shopping complex owned by the Kravco Co. of King of Prussia, PA. "Deptford is the regional shopping area," Deptford Mayor William Bain said at the ribbon-cutting. The township is located just south of Cherry Hill in southern New Jersey.
"The store fills a regional need," store manager Trish Downing said at the event. "We expect sales to be very strong." The new Target employs about 200 people.
