Betco, based in Houston, had been at 3504 Chapman Lane in thesoutheast submarket. Chapman Lane intersects with Ben WhiteBoulevard, which is being widened into a freeway and cut a wideswath of business relocations.

Mark Milstead, an industrial Specialist with NAI/CommercialIndustrial Properties Co., has represented the building owner,William Howard. The asking price for space at the building,constructed in 1968, was $8.28 per sf. Betco has operations inDallas, San Antonio, La Marque, Beaumont, Corpus Christi, Harlingenand San Antonio.

In a separate deal, Nourzads, an Austin advertising agency, hasleased 2,081 sf at 1021 E. Seventh St. in east Austin just east ofthe CBD. The building was formerly occupied by Aperian Inc., anAustin-based data center operator that is now part of FourthstageTechnologies Inc., based in Phoenix. John Childers of ColliersOxford Commercial in Austin handled the transaction.
