A number of car dealerships are positioned along Bell Road, all lining the artery from 20th Street to Black Canyon Freeway, located four miles to the west. Auto Now, technically Halland & Miller LLC, purchased the parcel and sales office from Mel Clayton Auto Center, which had used the land for a used car dealership. Mel Clayton closed the Bell Road site earlier this year, but continues to operate a dealership at 16th Street and Camelback Road. Clayton Troutt LLC was the seller of record in the deal negotiated by Dan Salley of the Phoenix office of Grubb & Ellis Co.

That part of the Valley has been growing dramatically in the past few years, as more and more residential and commercial developers are lured by the completion of Loop 101. Loop 101, two miles north of Bell Road, links with Interstate 10 and Interstate 17 and connects north Phoenix to the freeway system.
