The company, which already leases 19,904 sf at the Woodhill Plaza office building, has upped that amount to 22,829 sf of office space and storage space, says company spokeswoman Cathryn Kirkham. Woodhill Plaza, which is located at 14525 Highway 7 in Minnetonka, is managed by Colonnade Properties. In addition, Snyder's has set aside about 2,100 sf for future expansion.
Snyder's officials says about 25 employees would be added to the current staff of about 120 employees at the headquarters facility. The company has a total of about 6,000 employees, Kirkham says.
Snyder's, which itself was recently bought by the Edmonton-based Katz Group, recently closed on a $21 million deal to buy Drug Emporium, which had been reorganizing in Federal bankruptcy court in Youngstown, OH. The Drug Emporium had added about 77 stores to the Snyder's chain under the names Drug Emporium, F&M Super Drug Stores and Vix Drug Stores. The company also franchises additional stores under the Drug Emporium name).
