The facility will serve Greater London and the South East area and is due for occupation in February 2002. The building will incorporate 5,000 sf of offices.

TK Maxx Property Director, Patrick Turnbull, said: 'This forms part of a programme following on from a recent acquisition at Newcastle-under-Lyme with further locations being considered in the Bristol and Leicester areas. Location will always remain the critical element of our expansion programme and this was the key factor in our decision to take a unit at Hatfield.'

Arlington's Hatfield Business park is being developed on the site of a former BAe aircraft factory. Existing occupiers include Deutsche Telekom's mobile phone company One 2 One; Computacenter, Henkel and Booker, and a 295,000-sf pre-letting was recently agreed with Ocado (Last Mile Solutions).
