Although not named, insiders believe the Minnesota Twins could be one of the two teams dissolved. The Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission concluded that the Twins have a legally binding use agreement that requires the team to play in the Metrodome during the 2002 season, and the commission says it will enforce that contract. Commission officials say that "progress is being made on a fair, long-term ballpark" and that Major League Baseball has yet to fulfill its promise of reform the economics of baseball.
