Financing will be provided through the Minneapolis CommunityDevelopment Agency common bond fund. Principal and interest on thebonds will be paid from the ticket surcharge generated by eventticket sales in all three MCDA-owned theaters.

Renovation of the Pantages will include all new building systemsincluding electrical, plumbing, heating, air-conditioning andmechanical air handling.

All four roof elevations will be completely new and strengthenedto bring them up to current building standards. The lobby will bemodern in appearance. The auditorium will accent the original 1916construction through the selective renovation ofdecorativeplasterwork and other details. The marquee andentranceway will be distinctive, highly-lit and will play off theoriginal marquee design of 1916.
