This latest merger, for which the company's name will not change, brings together Lee and Ferrari Design owner Lynn Takeuchi. The duo attended high school together in Portland, OR, and continued the friendship as roommates at the University of Oregon. "After all these years, we're both really excited to be working together professionally," says Takeuchi. "Ferrari Design Group clients will benefit from the broader range of experience and resources now available to them and Mulvanny G2 will benefit from our proven design experience with industrial parks, office developments and tenant improvements."

Ferrari Design clients include Puget Sound Properties, Bedford Properties, Rreef Funds, Spieker Properties, Les Schwab Tires, Security Capital Industrial, and Trammell Crow Company. The firm's projects include the 126,000-square-foot Redmond Heights Technology Center, the 800,000-square-foot Kent East Corporate Park, and the Gateway I and II office buildings in Bellevue, Wash.

MulvannyG2 specializes in architecture, planning and interior design services for office, retail, industrial and mixed-use facilities, a niche that garnered $38.4 million in revenues in 2000. Mulvanny clients include The Boeing Co., CarrAmerica, Costco Wholesale, Graybar, Hines, Intracorp USA, Borders, Lowe's, and Nike. Recent projects include 112th@12th, the three-building, 480,000-sf office campus on the outskirts of Downtown Bellevue where the company keeps its headquarters, as well as the Elliott Grand Hyatt in Downtown Seattle and the Tacoma Convention Center.
