KSL, which also owns and operates the La Quinta Resort and Spaand PGA West in La Quinta, as well as resorts in Arizona andHawaii, plans to renovate La Costa early next year. The sale isexpected to close later this month. Terms of the transaction werenot released.

The 479-room resort has a spa, two 18-hole golf courses, atennis center and convention and banquet facilities. The resortcovers 400 acres.

The resort has a longstanding tradition of attracting leaders inbusiness, sports figures, celebrities and those seeking a luxurygetaway in the San Diego area, said Scott M. Dalecio, president ofKSL's resort division.
