MB Beitler takes over from Jones Lang LaSalle, whose management team won a 1999-2000 TOBY award from the Building Owners and Managers Association of Chicago for its operation of 135 S. LaSalle St. as well as Citicorp Center, where an estimated 94,000 commuters pass through every work day.
Built in 1988, the property is owned by NACA Limited Partnership and financed last year by an $85-million mortgage from Northwestern Mutual. Citicorp Center is 94.4% occupied,with 182,570 sf, some of it sublease space, available.
MB Beitler also was retained by the Davis Cos. to manage and lease 1-million-sf 181 W. Madison St., which the Los Angeles-based company bought for $239 million. It also won an 11-million-sf contract with Firstar Bank to manage 1,200 facilities in 13 states.
